In a perfect world, you could type the name of any scientific paper into Google and immediately be able to read it. I will never accept that it's alright for knowledge to be locked away and largely unavailable.

Some scientists point out that climate-displaced species may be as ecologically novel in their new habitats as trade-dispersed aliens and could be just as disruptive to ecosystems, economies, and cultures as traditionally defined alien species.

“For New Jersey to step to the forefront and say, ‘We’re going to look at future climate impacts, and that it’s going to be a driver of our decision-making’ — that’s exactly what all 50 states need to be doing.”

Sometimes London's Lost Rivers are found. This is urban rewilding. Firs Farm was a bland park & bumpy football pitches. Moore Brook was trapped in a pipe. Thanks to it's now a glorious wetland. The football pitches are smooth. Flood risk cut.

Franklinia: Originally known from a single location in Georgia; extinct in the wild by 1800; named in honour of Benjamin Franklin; this small tree enhances our display garden with camellia-like flowers late summer to frost, red leaves in autumn & striped bark all year. LOVE IT!
