it's just heartbreaking that it takes so much work to get even the mildest skeptics on board... some people will never shift even as their houses are carries away from underneath them by a novel, yet-to-be-categorised type of weather event we'll see pop up in 2034.

Very frustrating and sometimes demoralizing, but I do see progress and experience enough success to remain hopeful.
She's awesome, but my argument is shorter:
It's colder here than it was yesterday.
Therefore there will be no summer!
