    Any medical professional who is told by a patient they have a spider bite needs to remember this tweet and then gently tell them it’s not a spider bite. Only then can you treat the actual cause of the skin spot- usually a boil due to staph or skin bacteria.

    Medicine has become politically charged but there are some non-partisan topics. Most physicians agree we’re being forced to practice protocol driven medicine & follow algorithms & guidelines rather than to do what is best for the individual patient. Time for a change.
