So a store or a restaurant gets a fast charger for its patrons but also a full 160kWh/150kW backup for its facility if the grid goes down. With little relative cost or running 240V vs. having to upgrade its grid connection to 480 3 phase.

Prob my fav is Freewire that includes huge 160kWh battery - only requires typical 240V electrical service, can island or backfeed during superpeaks, up to 150kW

Probably the biggest trend I noted at #CES2023 was the proliferation of new DC Fast charging products. I counted at least 20 new DC charging providers for locations like fast food, convenience stores, etc. Prices still way too high but great stuff

Got good look at OshKosh US Post Office delivery EV. It is somehow uglier in person but seems highly functional. I'm sure buying a bunch of Ford E-Transits would be way too easy and inexpensive for DeJoy's administration.

Got 1st in-person look at Volvo EX90 (with I have reservation on in case Rivian R1S never shows/keeps getting delayed) at Google CES booth yesterday. Notably big front and back lidar bumps that could facilitate Waymo-light autonomy and safety. Impressive!
