  2. It’s a moral imperative to stop separating families. Also, must legislate/compromise on broader immigration. Failure to deal w/ complexities has led to instability in Europe, e.g. ; elections in Italy, Germany. See my remarks yesterday .

  3. Enjoyed my interview with & his dad, Luis. They spoke about life, theater, education & Puerto Rico. And Hamilton. So talented, accomplished & couldn't be nicer. I brought up my supporting role as Mayor Shinn in The Music Man in 6th grade. Impressed no one.

  10. Great meeting today with international CEOs hosted by Pres. in Versailles. He and his team engaged on how to attract business and investment to France -- took all questions for hours. Big effort -- sincere and effective. Feels like a new day has dawned in France.

  13. Important read. New Yorkers willingly accept the necessary costs that attach to the benefits of our city life. But in the context of the new limit on deductibility of high NY/NYC taxes, waste that borders on institutional corruption is particularly infuriating.

  14. decision belongs to UK citizens, and I'm not one. But GS built its Euro biz in the UK on certain assumptions, pays taxes and employs thousands of UK citizens concerned about the economy and their futures. On their behalf, at least, I have to be interested in the outcome.
