I want politicians to not be so stoic in their beliefs that they can’t change. Times have changed over the last 40 years on this issue. And people’s thoughts have changed on whether tax payers should pay for abortions. Public opinion should shape politicians thinking.

He's Catholic. Some of them feel strongly one way or the other but a lot are quite conflicted. Maybe they hate it personally but feel it should be legal, and it's hard to express solid convictions about that.
