Cool. What do you figure the giant red button does? I'd guess it doesn't toggle power for a small USB desk fan

That was me. The big red button is an emergency stop for the motion of the imaging system. There are many safety features built in (infrared sensors to prevent the 8 m beam from crushing someone standing below, e.g.), but it always there in case things go pear-shaped.
