price sold in what quantity? unit price seems to be lower in larger quantities.

These are averages of all auctions each month, without regard for allocation size. This skews the numbers upwards a bit, since there are more /24s that have higher per-ip pricing. A more correct way could be to adjust for volume per month, maybe.
