In my experience, older people tend to inadvertently promote colorism, because they come from a time when being light skinned was a lucky break. I disagree with her, but we really have to grade her on a curve.

I agree with you there, which is why I wasn't surprised. She's actually much more progressive for a Latina than most women her age. Still think considering her influence, it needs to be called out, but I agree.

While I agree with your point about our culture you have to admit that Hollywood is just white and black right now. Latinos come in all colors but atleast black people have representation while the rest of us don’t even get a mention…
