AI Photography doesn’t exist. There is no such thing as being a “Midjourney Photographer”. There is AI that generates images by scrapping the internet and stealing the work of real photographers without their consent. Generative AI Imagery is not photography.

I have reinstalled Twitter to respond to this story and make sure my voice is fully heard. I am Casey. My real name is Alex but my mom decided it would be best to hide it for anonymity. But this is my story, not hers. This is not the free press’s story.

To the folks who believe they would’ve marched for civil rights if they grew up during that time, we’re seeing a fight for civil rights happen before our very eyes TODAY. History will remember those who stood up for Trans lives and those who looked the other way and did nothing.

One of the most surreal videos of the entire resistance to anti-trans laws this year. Members of the gallery get arrested while shouting "trans lives matter" as Rep. Stevenson delivers a scathing rebuke on the House Floor. "Somebody will have to atone!"

Holy shit. Texas republicans introduced a bill to give huge tax cuts to *straight* couples having children—with up to 100% cut in property taxes for TEN kids. The bill’s author said “Get married, stay married, and be fruitful and multiply.” This is handmaid’s tale shit.

As we all wake up on Valentines Day there are at least 3 People at Michigan State University who won’t be waking up. As our politicians worship guns, our kids cant even educate themselves without fear. Your prayers are an insult when you idolize weapons of death.

Journalists can get reminiscent about our first jobs. The characters. The stories. The newsrooms themselves. This project, documenting 100+ newspaper newsrooms in rural Kansas, is not that. poynter.org/business-work/
