Dear world, It is not enough to just plant one/millions of trees and then go. A tree is life, and to keep it alive it needs tender love & care just as you care about yourself. Impact is about the planted trees that grow upto maturity. Stop planting trees, start growing trees!🌳

The desert locusts invasion is very unusual and something to worry about. It is happening at a time when nearly 12 million people are already coping with severe acute food insecurity in Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia.

Africa WILL not be hardest hit by climate change,Africa IS ALREADY greatly suffering from the climate crisis impacts! Lives/health/food productivity/livelihoods/water availability/our overall security are under threat! Any bit of additional warming doubles this risk for Africa!

Towards the end of 2019, heavy erratic rainfall wrecked havoc in East Africa! Right now, massive swarms of desert locusts are destroying crops and threatening food security across the region. Millions are already suffering from hunger and malnutrition! This could get worse!

Wangari Maathai would be proud of you! She never gave up and never let them stop her. In her spirit we will keep on shaming them, fighting for environmental justice, and social justice. She is my hero, and I remember her when I feel like things are hopeless. XO Stay strong!
