    holy crap. I had assumed I'd be doing a week in AirBNB in January, but it looks like I'll be free to step right off the plane and into the city!

    BREAKING: there will be *no quarantine requirements or arrival caps* for fully vaccinated arrivals to NSW from November 1. Sounds like there will be testing requirements on arrivals. Unvaccinated arrivals will still be required to go into hotel quarantine

    I'd like to go on a mini-rant about how much I hate virtual conferences. I get that there are accessibility issues with requiring everyone to attend the conference in person, but I think there are other solutions to those. My first tech conference was WWDC in 2000 (yes, I'm old)

    I think it's important to realize that when & other Xooglers describe "interrogation", that's what we mean. We're not trying to be hyperbolic to make a point. Interrogation tactics are used that would be illegal for police investigators to do.

    Google’s “Global Investigations” interrogated me and other authors of the petition. I was given 30m notice, not allowed to bring a support person, and felt very pressured to answer questions (including IMO being asked to snitch on my fellow workers).
