It’s ONE of your important roles. Another is to create policies and influence practices that are equitable, human-centered, and work to reverse structural racism and classism. Both roles are important and have long-term impact, and will be appreciated.

Hi, Dr. Lomax. I fully agree both roles are important. What I’ve found abt motherhood is it is deeply personal & deeply transformative work. No one can show up to justice work outside their home if they haven’t done justice work inside their home. That’s why I view it this way.
