    UPDATE I couldn't make this up if I tried. I guess the city is saying "oops, we accidentally sent out almost 8,000 lien notices" aka people spoke up and they decided to walk it back. So much wasted money on postage and paper.

    City of Flint back putting liens on peoples homes for unpaid water bills. Now people are at risk of losing their homes for not keeping up with the highest water rates in the country for water that is not tap drinkable.

    Correct. And you also sign a waiver that if they mess up, it's on you. Also if you rent your landlord has to be the one to sign to have the service line changed. And you are responsible for all interior plumbing and hot water heater.

    is it also true that with the City of Flint's Fast Start program your water bill has to be current in order for your lead service line to be replaced? AND its opt in...meaning everyone's pipes are not automatically replaced?
