@SteveStuWill is it actually distinguishable from other modalities in effectiveness?
even the papers complaining about people calling it gold-standard etc. generally say yes there are a lot of ways to put extra context that makes it sound not impressive(specific theraphy factors are minority of effectiveness,pub bias etc.)but the distinguishable thing is not imo
I don't think this is true at all. It's true that there is a larger *amount* of CBT studies, so the "evidence for their effectiveness is stronger".
