I keep up with shows the same way I do theories: pay attention to the fun ones not the ones everyone cares to argue about

Feel like it's been that way for a while, though maybe for some people more than others. I've always found "what books/movies/music do you like?" type questions kind of scary.

Know that's beside the point of things becoming problematic at another level beyond just culture/taste, but I don't know if the process for navigating it would change. There have also been people whose cultural capital has declined due to scandals, politics etc. for a while.
