I would love to read a book on how everything used to be packaged before plastic. Wondering specifically about cheese at the moment

Remember hearing about it from my father who grew up on a farm. Also reminds me of some sustainability theories, ie. the "Cradle to Cradle" idea. (that book is kind of written for a popular audience IIRC, but still interesting. Ex. the book itself is made of recycled plastic.)
