(There are versions of neuroscience that are respectable, but I have a full sacred boundary over the field mostly cuz it just creeps me out)
re: neuroscience I just remember how confident everybody was about the serotonin hypothesis in the 90s and laugh and laugh

IMO knowing programming is epistemic superpower. So many fields reduce to "we changed a bunch of assembly code at random, and it worked!"
