Is this inherent to the nature of psychology, or that we are too primitive and stupid to escape WEIRD traps yet
oh I think the former - our need to feel superior to other people exceeds our ability to science, and people are a mess

I feel similarly. Maybe for a different reason -- human brains cannot analyze themselves. Also why I distrust neuroscience.

(There are versions of neuroscience that are respectable, but I have a full sacred boundary over the field mostly cuz it just creeps me out)
