probably the thing I envy most about unschooled kids is they get practice dealing with freedom from the beginning

Speaking as someone who was unschooled the adult experience has still been very confusing.
whoa you were? I had no idea but I'm counting you as a success for unschooling

4yr approx. during middle school. Going into a more conventional college prep HS situation after that probably compensated in opposite way.
