In formal systems & things resembling formal systems (science, pronouncements of Correct Truth) you're not supposed to contradict yourself
But in good poetry one contradicts oneself all the time (I'm not talking about Whitman)

The contradictions represent *time* and *mental processes* which can theoretically be represented in formal systems, but not so densely

@vgr your thing contradicts itself well (repeating you can't exit history, then ways people exit history)
