anyway, I had just finished reading Cat's Cradle, was about to fly out of state to meet a dude I was in love w/, was just

driving home from a date with yet another promising person IRL who lived dozens of miles away, was manic, etc. It was raining

I was coming off the freeway on a ramp, maybe a little faster than I should've. My car spun out. I thought I was going to die

or very clearly imagined myself in the hospital. Felt my sense of manic recklessness echoed in that moment.

Saw the edge of the ramp and how I was approaching it, about to drive straight off... But my car made a literal 360 spin.

Both me and my car were unscathed. Literally no one saw it happen, so it was as though it didn't happen at all.

There was no evidence of it happening. But it very much so happened. It was like life was playing a joke on me, just for me.
