I write the intellectual equivalent of wall tags but I know wall tags are bad that's my fucking problem

@literalbanana What’s bad about museum wall tags? (I like them, if they are informative…)

@Meaningness I think they prevent people from looking at things, like knowing about things prevents people from being able to see/draw

@literalbanana I’m thinking museum wall tags need meta tags that explain how to use them, and how not to let them stop you looking

@literalbanana “This tag say the painting was by someone famous, but everyone hated it only 25 years ago. Why do people like it again?”

@literalbanana “This tag claims that thing is ‘ritual object’, but that just means ‘we have no fucking clue’. Any guess what it’s for?”

@literalbanana “Does this tag tell you anything that’s not fucking obvious? If not, what’s it here for?”
