certainly it’s preventing them from learning what they want at that moment, if it’s not learning to read! most kids eventually learn to read, for videogames if nothing else

if it were just assisting learning that would be fine - I don’t think it is, I think it’s mostly daycare/child prison with RARE moments of fun and learning if little kids are lucky
