I think it’s even the case that going from one very rigorous environment to another is going to lose a ton of information, because rigor is conceived & implemented differently in different contexts of high rigor

I always frame "decolonizing" as geeks attempting to remove sociopaths from a niche invaded by mops. (ala https://meaningness.com/geeks-mops-sociopaths … ). It always take me a bit to realize it's actually about one virulent subculture cannibalizing another; Geeks mops and sociopaths all the way down?
