starting to suspect my pillow is too soft in a way that produces tension in my neck. might fuck around and try sleeping on a book or something. anyone have any hot takes about this?

Only problem with that is that the underside doesn't have any air circulation so it starts to mildew. But I guess you live in the desert so that may not be an issue.

if there’s no under-the-bed there can’t be any tarantulas under the bed rollsafe.jpg

We use double pouch buckwheat pillows with millet. The buckwheat is supportive for head-neck-spine alignment and the millet makes the texture not too hard. The pillows are zip fill so you can increase/decrease the amounts to get it right. 5-inch futon on top of latex foam square.

To be pedantic the futon is ~2”, the thinnest we could get.

Also I have a leg pillow to support my knee if I sleep on my side in recovery position, it prevents the spinal twist which pulls a bit on my neck.

I also sleep with a waifu pillow
