Imagine a pill that makes you unconscious, but still able to function normally, for 8 hours. While on it, you can move, talk, form & access memory, work, etc. (like a p-zombie). It costs $5. How often do you use it?
yeah the idea is there’s nothing there to experience anything - this is more about how & when it’s desirable more than whether it’s possible even theoretically

In that case I would use it for long haul flights when I don’t have a window seat. Also if I ever had a stomach virus or bad flu. My inner life is absent at those times anyway, except for discomfort and anxiety. All activities are just for relief or time killing then.

I would not use it during migraines because they are perversely interesting. If it were possible to have a dose that lasted less than 8 hours, I would use it a lot more for unpleasant boring activities during which I can’t read. Eg going to the DMV, dental work.
