there's a single fire truck and an ambulance outside my apartment. central fire alarm isn't going off, no people outside, no signs of a fire at all i am... confused

interesting. they've never arrived when we called an ambulance--and that's been many times, and recently
interesting - probably varies by city but the trend seems to be using firefighters for broader range of stuff since there are fewer fires

this has been the case for at least 20 years. my dad spent most calls checking on old ppl who fell or homeless ppl who were asleep

have to iterate again i have never seen a firetruck come with an ambulance for a medical issue until literally tonight and i've seen many ambulances outside my apartment--and not only our calls!
