          OMG @literalbanana your phrase "the pedantic maybe" sounds like a general case linguistic thing, like "the subjunctive mood", and as I'm about 1 week from starting a big conlang project for fictional uplifted dogs, I think I DEFINITELY need to have a pedantic mood in their lang
