It’s interesting that media criticism got more interesting and entertaining than the underlying media - intuitively this seems like the BEST way of doing criticism and also the funniest

It’s also interesting that it seems to have had no effect on the quality of the underlying media, but I actually think it’s BETTER if media criticism did this purely as a joke to flex on art

yeah - the forms of art that are having a renaissance are the human-scale ones where individual human effort is the main limiting factor, the ones degrading are the ones that tried to scale up
