It’s interesting that media criticism got more interesting and entertaining than the underlying media - intuitively this seems like the BEST way of doing criticism and also the funniest

This feels downstream of when the medium (as in “medium is the message”) is going through larger change.
yeah - the forms of art that are having a renaissance are the human-scale ones where individual human effort is the main limiting factor, the ones degrading are the ones that tried to scale up
