I'll bet language has other examples too. Perhaps: • Meme formats or image macros that ensure a post won't be interpreted straightforwardly. • Politically-correct words. • "Prowords" in radio communication.

Sometimes people adopt slightly different ways of pronouncing their language so that different phonemes will be distinct. This would be part of a "push chain" in linguistics.
