      (if you want to plan a square or triangular shawl from inside out with many colors, for n stripes, the total area is n^2, each stripe is a sequential odd number, and each inner + outer stripe adds to 2n, except the central stripe with is n)

      yarn is cool because its length & mass is a measure of eventual area so you can measure by weight or count winds around the swift or whatever you want

          I love how loggers and foresters have special measuring tapes and measuring sticks that have pi r squared etc baked in so theoretically wrong, so practically right
