Something poetic in the fact that there’s apparently no natural yellow dye that is very lightfast. Gold destroyed by sunlight.

How about Australian Aboriginal methods? lots of yellow in their art? Or am I on the wrong track here?
everybody uses it, it just fades over time - huge problem for museum preservation
