Is there a word for when you say something that you’re aware is probably wrong in >5 ways, but still mean it sincerely in a certain context? (Not irony, but a close cousin there of)

Oh boy....that opens up a pretty different range of interface with honesty. By being ‘honest with a technique’, do you mean something like if someone were to claim they were making an omelette but they can’t do it so they end up with scrambled eggs? The hand can’t express it yet

that could be part of it! you can make honest scrambled eggs at that point but not an honest omelet

this is “dishonest” not because part is copied, but because the outer edge doesn’t spring from the same logic as the rest
