i strongly support antinatalism because its long-term effect will be to breed susceptibility to antinatalism and the tendencies that underpin it, and to a lesser degree susceptibility to memes in general, out of the species

in general, any time you want to cull the tendency to care about some phenomenon X out of the gene pool, you should field a convincing argument of "X, therefore you should not have children"

if even 5% of people who mostly perceive life as suffering chose not to breed the next generation would be a lot happier

this is what i believe (and i got irreversibly sterilized a couple years ago; fulfilling one of my childhood dreams)

guess i better hope that it isn't the case that people who mostly perceive life as suffering are better to have around than people who don't because they do more interesting things with their lives
