descriptivism is a weird thing because yes words are fake, fluid, & mushy - but it's undeniable that people voluntarily spend tons of energy defending particular meanings for them

These devices we use seem to convey disgust fairly well, albeit with different calibrations for different ppl. Some ppl are often physically repulsed by vulgar speech for the sound of it in addition to the meaning of the word afaict.
