How do you continue in Impro mode when someone asserts simple positive knowledge over a question you know to be fraught & interesting?

There ought to be a term for this. Like leap of false confidence. Like leap of faith, but driven by dunning Kruger false confidence rather than courage in the face of uncertainty.
I just wish it were easier to learn about things without the permanent curse of being triggered by assertions of simple theories about that thing
