Pretty sure this is just straight up Ben Shapiro's strategy, piling so many misrepresentations of the opponent's argument and inaccurate nonsense that they spend all their time trying to correct him and never actually make a point or say anything worthwhile.

I hate Ben Shapiro but the left has been doing this for decades. The source of ire for Shapiro is that he flipped an annoying strategy on you.

No, the Gish Gallop has been a special technique of the Right for years; it was developed by a creationist and reinforced by Rove's "we create our own reality" in which facts and research (which the Left loves) don't matter, only rightist consensus opinions.

Do you realize how foolish it sounds to suggest that "the left" doesn't employ this technique because someone you don't like came up with it? Or that "facts and research" are somehow an ideological feature of leftism? Sounds like cult language

It would be like saying "the Nazis invented jet engines so we, the good democratic society, would never use jet engines" while a jet plane is flying past in the background
