I’m not 100% sure of the etiquette of cloutie trees, but I’m fairly confident that looting is frowned upon by the pixies (or whatever)... anyways that’s the line I take with my son. Who is attracted to shiny things.

In my experience the Hot spots are: Glastonbury, Avebury, holy wells in Cornwall.
