yeah I agree - over any reasonable time scale it’s an “exchange” with different investment strategies, energy as currency
the quoted idea that it’s only predation if you benefit from monopoly power seems more like killing conspecifics than predation

Ah, now I understand what you mean. Thanks for the explanation. It would also apply to nature though, if you consider that companies are groups of hunters, not single hunters, and that these groups fight over territories.
