'whole plants' usually refers to unprocessed i.e. where nutrients haven't been artificially removed or added. e.g. olive oil is a plant food but not whole. as long as the meaning is understood we're all on the same page :)

olives are a rough case because processing is necessary to remove oleuropein right? can’t eat fresh olives
