ahahaha yes - the triangle thing is linen, not “mordanted” with any metals at all (i.e. prepped for dyeing as usual)

Could you re-dye it and get a darker shade or does it not work that way? I thought vinegar counted as a mordant?

yes it can! in this case I was using it after the dye had taken up to change the color
