Is there something in your domain of expertise that people thing is really hard but it’s actually really easy?

I don’t know knitting well, but I get the sense it’s really good at linear stuff. Crochet is funny, but comes into its own in the round. It’s a natural fit for amigurumi and stuffed things.

I took up crochet a few years ago to have something to do with my hands that wasn’t a screen, and to have a make-y hobby I could do on the dining table, unlike small engine repair.
