I once choked a man into unconsciousness. If it had been important to keep going, I would have, without question or hesitation.

yeah that’s a story I was friends with a couple. They’d been having problems, she moved out, got her own place. The three of us were making a night of it; dissociatives were involved, I was pretty wonky so passed out on the couch.

Woke up and they were yelling at each other, went into the bedroom to see if I could deescalate maybe. She wanted him to leave; he didn’t want to leave. I suggested that, it being her house, maybe he should.

Then she grabbed his backpack and ran out with it to throw it out the front door, he followed, she ran back into the bedroom and locked the door. He started kicking the door.

Interior doors are made of cardboard, pretty much. His foot went through the door pretty quick. This bedroom only had the one way out, unless you count the second floor window.

So I picked up a broom, opened the door, and hit him across the face with the handle of it. Pushed the broom handle under his armpit and tried to frog march him out of the house

Squirrelly bastard got loose and ran back in the bedroom, so I jumped on his back, got a rear naked choke, and put him out.

That was just the beginning of a rather long morning. Calling the police wasn’t an option as far as we were concerned, the quantity of drugs in his backpack would have meant considerable jail time, which seemed disproportionate. Anyway, that’s what happened.
