Seems like there’s a huge selective advantage to being high up on the mountain, in terms of seed dispersal
If you can contract with one squirrel or corvid to carry seeds high up the mountain you’re just squirting out seeds to the world forever
Thinks are tough at the top tho, all the wind and erosion and probably more temperature fluctuations
it’s amazing how fast you go from the top where only two-inch-high plants grow to giants that don’t even notice you
