reality is a shitty game because you can't win. reality is a shitty movie because everything happens for no reason. reality is a shitty book because when it does happen it's repetitive and uninteresting.

reality was never great. we merely lacked the vocabulary with which to articulate our disappointment.

also, i don't think it actually could be made to be great (or even, you know, mediocre) because it is real and permanent. it could be made marginally acceptable, with a lot of collaborative effort.
