i can be exhausted and (very rarely) too awake to sleep but generally i _could_ just sleep whenever, and when i do sleep i am more than happy to sleep for like 20 hours and then can easily sleep again 8 hours later. its garbage.

yeah what I have is sleeping and waking for random intervals with enforced 24 hour schedule being miserably impossible

yea i'll go from like staying up all night to sleeping for 12 hours a couple times to a normal 6/8 or whatever and then just spend half of saturday/sunday sleeping lol

i did a sleep study where they had me sleep for 8 hours, then had me wake up and do activities, then timed how quickly i'd fall asleep for like 3 short naps in a row, and because i didn't fall back asleep quickly enough on one of the naps they couldn't diagnose me with anything

idk what having someone sleep for an enforced 8 hours will elucidate when the problem is the capacity to sleep for 24.

i did find out that my REM latency is EXTREMELY low and the percentage of time i spend in REM is many many times higher than average. still no diagnoses tho rofl rofl
