AK paints an extreme picture of the energy challenges faced by many living in remote communities. Rural Alaskans pay more than twice as much to heat their homes than folks in the Lower 48, sometimes forcing them to choose between feeding their family or keeping them warm.

These scenarios are part of the reason why we are seeing innovation to bring costs down, often by adding locally available resources such as hydropower onto our microgrids. The challenge is immense, certainly. So is the opportunity for change.

So we sit on 67 billion dollars and people can't buy food? Something is terribly wrong! Ask that question.

Thank you for listening to me and others about renewable energy. It's everywhere! Now let's get big oil to help us transition to renewables together. Exxon/State/University partnerships. Jobs. Tax revenues. Warm

Do you think people forgot why you voted for the tax bill? Drilling in ANWR is contradictory to what you’re saying today. You are a shill whose values involve enriching yourself and the powerful people who finance you.

Yet, you support this administration’s choice of Pruitt to head the EPA. Mr. Pruitt’s self-aggrandizing and borderline thuggish behavior has disgraced his office and demoralized his employees. You are just another coward who bows to Trump. GO AWAY!

Tradeoffs, like cutting taxes for the hyper rich by a trillion dollars, while supporting a party and president as they scramble for ways to destroy social security, medicaid, medicare, food stamps, and any other social well being programs they can get their slimy hands on.

While Pruitt was in state govt, NY Times says a lobbyist sold him a home for $100k less than she had paid for. Her telecom employer paid the difference. He then voted to let the employer raise its rates. At EPA he hired her + the banker who lent him the $https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/21/us/politics/scott-pruitt-oklahoma-epa.html …

Too bad you don’t get the concept of future generations. The vast, beautiful lands you are so willing to sign over to an “indoor” cabinet. There is no going back to undo the damage to the environment. These lands are not your property, but you’re selling out your state. Shame!

While I'm pleased to see this, I cannot forget how you voted to approve the tax bill because they were able to tack-on drilling in ANWR for you, Senator.

Congratulations on the access to ANWAR! The trick now is modifying present 'value added' aspects of pristine resources extracted to create simple dollars. Exchange resources for more refineries, improved &expanded infrastructure & more over simple profit margins. Jobs for Alaska
