It irks me that I might one day wobble while walking in discomfort while my baby daddy walks normally and comfortable next to me without a bother in the world. But they get to enjoy the baby. It ends me how biologically my body is geared to serve men. 😫 I ain't paying for shit!
majority of the labour in the relationship. That’s why a lot of feminists have a problem. He’s spoiling you financially and you do likewise, but the difference is that, you’re already spoiling him in other areas of the relationship where he’s not reciprocating. So it’s not 50/50.

When you're both out of town for work and agree to meet each other at a halfway destination. 🥰Maybe I'll stop being so moody.

If this man can't make it to Gregory Porter I'm taking bestie. But, I'm not negotiating this concert.
What's the point of watching House of Dragons if you don't know who the Mad King and Daenerys Targaryen are? This is not the Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit.

Ever notice that you're often the first black person in a company, then they start hiring more black people when you come along because the unspoken stance on "blackness", becomes embarrassingly obvious?
There's also this idea that black people are bad for effective/efficient capitalism. A white person can openly declare that they dislike capitalism, it's not expected to affect their work. A black person who has any economic stance runs the risk of being considered problematic.
This largely discourages sharing of information amongst black folks because, with us, there's little to no room for error without it being a reflection of who you are as the referral.
Environments where black folks are treated as individuals and not a community enable to error. If they don't make the cut, fine. We move to the next black person. But, companies tend to subtly have the attitude, "If the previous "one" didn't work out, then..."

It's such a huge relief when you can hire black people without feeling as though if they don't "cut it", it'll be a reflection on you as well. I think that is often why folks opt not to plug people. When white folk plug each other, this unsaid and subtle "link" is never made.

The more people that take social media convo's to the workplace, the more they'll be forced to adjust. It's risky and frightening, but they can't refuse or shut the door on all unicorns.

I came in and was embraced by a woman who insists on hiring black women. Who pushes me to talk, & so surprisingly listens and adjusts instantly. Who constantly apologises, not trying to prove her power.

We recently had a convo about how, due to my workplace wiring "I'm the problem", because of the unsaid shifting that black folks have to do in the workplace to survive. And, how with her, I constantly go through cognitive dissonance because I think it's some trick.

One thing she constantly always asking me is, "Will I always have to be the one calling everybody out?" "Even black people?".
The unlearning u do when you have a white boss who sounds and lives like Twitter mental health and pro-black. You have Twitter convo's & you're constantly thinking "this is gonna end badly", but bitch puts ACTION on everything. Then she calls you out on your own bullshit.
He is the Ramsey of "SA media/journalism" if we want to call it that. 💁The dogs are starting to take their pound of flesh.

Musa's brand of "journalism" follows no rules or ethical code whatsoever. He's broken so many laws already. Then he gets beat-up and all of a sudden, he is delivering a symposium/TEDtalk on the hood LAW of a BEATDOWN. Doesn't realise he set the playing field & Moshe played.

Leaders of shack dwellers' movement Abahlali baseMjondolo have been forced to go underground. This follows yet another assassination of one of their colleagues, Lindokuhle Mnguni, on Saturday. #DStv403 #eNCA

I really hope black women realise that they actually don't have to perform any kind of labour for a man's love and support. Not a damn thing.
Benithe nigavuka ngo 3 AM for indoda who does everything for you. Yamvusa indoda, sogqiba yaqumba when she refused. Utsho naye unontombi ebevuka every morning. Yho, hayi.😫
Heyi man, this girl should stop talking to this dude, cos inqondo veske ingasebenzi xa ethetha nalomfana. The things she agrees to when they talk.
So, ugal, basically surrendered her entire life to a complete stranger. Nje kanjalo. Imagine sharing your livelihood with someone you just met two minutes ago. Not a small side project, but your entire career. Andikwazi ukumsizela shem.

I can't imagine the many red flags I would have to ignore to allow a person like that within an inch of my space or life. Tshini lentombi.

🤣🤣🤣Andayihleka yindoda ibitheni na bethuna, to be making such concessions. uBeserious nendoda kanti awumazi uhlalaphi. Cut it off, niphinde nibuyelane xa elifumene ikhaya. 🙈Hayi mani, andiyikholwa.
Sbwl ukumsizela uMoneoa qha I don't have it in me. I didn't even know she's Xhosa, cause this doesn't seem like Xhosa woman behaviour. Hayi man, akamhle ngeloxesha. uXheshwa yintoni emadodeni?
All the QWERTY keypad buttons on my MacBook are faded, so you can't tell which alphabet is which. So, I'm the only person who can use it. It's virtually useless to most people except for me. 🙈😅
No Mojitos for me this Friday because I have 3 pm meeting. He better come home with drinks this weekend. 😭
Taking care of yourself is a full-time job. I see why men have always outsourced this to women. 🤔
